Introduction

SkinCash ("SkinCash", "we", "us", "our") is an instant-sell service for CS2 items. We respect your privacy and process personal data only to the extent the service needs it.

The site is operated by SkinCash LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, USA, with an office at 30 N Gould St #39148, Sheridan, WY 82801.

This Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It covers skincash.gg and all of its sections, including the free tools, the blog and the Help Centre.

By using the service you accept the processing described here. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the service.

02

Scope of Services

SkinCash lets you:

  • sell CS2 skins straight to the platform and get paid;
  • use the marketplace where that feature is available;
  • use the free tools: inventory value checker, inspect-link checker, Doppler phase finder, Fade %, Marble Fade, Blue Gem, Steam ID finder, rank converter;
  • read the blog and Help Centre, enter giveaways and join the affiliate programme.

SkinCash is not a peer-to-peer trading venue: items are bought and sold by the platform, not by other users.

The service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

03

Information We Collect

3.1 Steam data

Received through Steam OpenID sign-in and the Steam Web API:

  • SteamID64;
  • display name and profile URL;
  • profile avatars;
  • country code and profile visibility, where public;
  • the contents of your public CS2 inventory — item names, quantities and estimated value;
  • the trade URL you provide yourself.

3.2 Contact data

  • your email address, if you add one;
  • verification status — we store the fact and date of confirmation;
  • the content of your support requests.

3.3 Transaction data

  • items sold, their prices and payout amounts;
  • balances: sell, pending and market;
  • the payout details you provide (crypto wallet, payment account);
  • the promocode and referral code applied;
  • transaction history and timestamps.

3.4 Identity checks (KYC/AML)

Requested only where the law, a payment partner or a fraud check requires it — not from every user:

  • first and last name, date of birth, gender;
  • identity document number;
  • phone number and email address;
  • country, region, city, street address and postal code;
  • the date of your consent and the date the check completed.

3.5 Technical data

Recorded automatically:

  • IP address and User-Agent string (browser, device, OS);
  • country, region, city and network provider derived from the IP;
  • sign-in times and session activity;
  • per-IP request counters for the free tools, used to rate-limit them and prevent inflated statistics.

3.6 Free tool data

The Steam inventory value checker stores the result of a check:

  • SteamID64, display name and avatar of the profile checked;
  • item count and total inventory value;
  • the date of the check and the history of previous checks for that profile.

Note that anyone can check any public Steam profile, and the result is partly published on the site — see "What other people can see".

3.7 Cookies

See the "Cookies" section below and the separate Cookie Policy.

04

How We Use Your Data

We process data in order to:

  • create and run your account, show your balance and transaction history;
  • accept items, price them and pay you out;
  • verify your email address and send service messages;
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse and inflated statistics;
  • meet legal requirements, including AML checks;
  • answer your support requests;
  • produce statistics and improve the site and the accuracy of its tools;
  • apply promocode bonuses and affiliate rewards.

We do not sell personal data and do not hand it to advertisers for their own purposes.

06

Data Sharing

We share data only with those the service cannot run without, and only as far as necessary:

  • Valve Corporation (Steam) — sign-in, reading inventories, transferring items;
  • payment and cryptocurrency providers — processing payouts;
  • identity verification providers — where KYC/AML applies;
  • hosting, CDN and DDoS protection — serving the site and handling requests;
  • email delivery provider — address confirmation and service notices;
  • market price sources — valuing items;
  • government and law-enforcement bodies — on a lawful request.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Partners are required to process it on our instructions and to maintain a comparable level of protection.

07

What Other People Can See

Some data is public on the site by design:

  • the "Recently Rated" rail on the inventory value page shows the display name, avatar, item count and value of profiles that were checked;
  • the "Most Expensive Inventories" list shows the same data for the largest results;
  • the recent sales block on the home page may show anonymised deal information.

Only profiles with a public Steam inventory can be checked. If you do not want your profile in these lists, set your inventory to private in Steam or write to us and we will remove the record.

Links to your Steam profile point to a third-party site whose content we are not responsible for.

08

Data Retention

We keep data no longer than needed:

  • account data — for as long as the account exists;
  • transaction and payout records — for the period tax and financial law requires;
  • KYC data — for the period AML rules prescribe;
  • technical logs and sign-in records — for a limited period needed to investigate incidents;
  • inventory check results — until you ask us to remove them.

Once data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

09

Data Security

What we do to protect your data:

  • all traffic is served over HTTPS;
  • we never store your Steam password — sign-in happens on Valve’s side through Steam OpenID;
  • session tokens are stored hashed, never in the clear;
  • access to personal data is limited to a small number of staff, on a need-to-know basis;
  • card details are not stored on our servers — payment providers handle them.

No system is completely secure. Protect access to your Steam account and never share your Steam API key — that is how most skin thefts happen.

10

Cookies

We use the following categories:

  • strictly necessary — your sign-in session and protection of the Steam login flow; sign-in is impossible without them;
  • functional — your chosen language, currency and interface settings, kept in your browser;
  • analytics — anonymised statistics on traffic and section usage.

You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser settings. Disabling the strictly necessary ones breaks sign-in and part of the site. See the Cookie Policy for details.

11

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may:

  • get a copy of the data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • receive your data in a machine-readable form and move it to another controller;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on it;
  • lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights write to legal@skincash.gg. We will answer within the period applicable law sets. Some records must be kept even after an account is deleted — transaction records and AML check results, for example.

12

Third-Party Services

The site connects to third-party services: Steam (Valve Corporation), payment and cryptocurrency systems, blockchain networks, market price sources and open CS2 item catalogues.

Each has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for how they handle data. Blockchain transactions are public and irreversible by nature.

The site may link to external resources. Following such a link takes you off skincash.gg and this Policy stops applying.

13

International Data Transfers

The service runs on international infrastructure, so your data may be processed and stored on servers outside your country, including in the USA and the EU.

For such transfers we apply the safeguards the law provides and require partners to maintain a comparable level of security.

14

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy — when new features appear or legal requirements change, for example. The current version always lives at this address, and the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.

We will announce material changes on the site or by email. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new version.
